The yogini sailing adventure closed a chapter in September, with a new winter home for Pyxie. But the road goes on, with no line to finish it.
Sometimes I let the wind and the boat decide where we’re going. Pyxie has a mind of her own, and an affinity for remote islands. We got holed up in Utsira.
Time for one of my most eagerly anticipated parts of the trip – visiting a surfboard shaper! Saying I was stoked is an understatement.
With a little help from old and new salty friends, anything from repairing fried marine electrics to rounding capes are easy as pie. And more fun!
Sailors are notoriously superstitious. I’m not … not really. But I still renamed my boat with ceremony under the magic of a Blue Moon.
